Our Purpose:
The Safford High School Scholarship and Education Foundation was formed in 1987 and awarded our first scholarship in 1988 in the amount of $500. As of May 2022, the Foundation has awarded $766,000 in scholarships. As a perpetual non-profit corporation, we pledge a continued commitment to the needs of our students and community. Through careful investments and generous donations, we are able to award many deserving students with scholarships to continue their education. Many of our members are alumni of Safford High School and all of our members volunteer their time and talents to help our local youth attain their academic goals.
Scholarships Available Now!
Current seniors at Safford High School will have an opportunity each March to apply for SHS Foundation Scholarships.

One application is all that is needed to be eligible for numerous Foundation Scholarships. The Foundation provides scholarships for those attending trade and vocational programs as well as those attending colleges and universities.
Student applications are judged based on: (1) Demonstrated potential for success in post-secondary education through his/her academic achievement while in high school. (2) Meeting the criteria (if any) specified by the specific scholarship. (leadership, athletic involvement, musical ability, etc.) (3) Submission of a completed application by the specified deadline.
