Kindergarten Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is open!

Welcome to Safford Schools! If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child who will be five years old before September 1, 2026 and want to enroll your child in Safford Schools for the 2026-2027 school year, please complete all parts of Kindergarten Registration.

Part 1: Complete the 2026-2027 SUSD New Student Enrollment Form online.

Part 2: Bring required documents to the District Office at 734 W. 11th Street, Safford AZ.

The following documents ARE REQUIRED before enrollment will be completed.

  • Student's Birth Certificate (certified copy, not hospital copy)
  • Student's Immunization Record
  • Proof of Residency Documentation - document MUST display parent/legal guardian name and current residential address where student resides (No P.O. Boxes allowed and only one document is required)
    • Acceptable Proof of Residency documents:
      • Valid Arizona driver's license or Arizona identification card
      • Valid Arizona motor vehicle registration
      • Real estate deed or mortgage documents
      • Property tax bill
      • Residential lease or rental agreement
      • Water, electric, gas, cable, or phone bill
      • Bank or credit card statement
      • Payroll stub

      • Documentation from a state, tribal or federal agency (ex: AZ Dept of Economic Security)

  • Guardianship papers (if living with a guardian instead of a parent)

Part 3: Complete additional required forms while at the District Office

  • Home Language Survey
  • Proof of Residency Form

Please complete registration early for a greater possibility of receiving your preferred school.

Registration is complete when all required forms and documents are received.

Students with incomplete registrations will not be placed in a school.
