    Hello Bulldog Family!

I’m excited to start a new year at Safford Schools educating and making a difference with students. I want to thank our supportive community and hard working staff for helping us work through last year.  We are starting full in-person learning on August 4th.  Your school’s website is a great place to visit and get the information you may need specific to your child’s grade level and school.

One of our goals is to approach this year with the perspective of a “fresh start.”.  We had to give up some things last year that we hope to get back such as events and student performances.  We plan to do this as much as we can.  As you know, there is no enforcement of a mask mandate allowed.  Mask wearing is voluntary.  We are still going to do some extra sanitizing as well.

I also feel it is important to inform our Bulldog Family that quarantining by the Graham County Health Department is still a possibility for those who are exposed to confirmed cases of COVID.  We are still asking guardians to do a self-check with students before coming to school each day.  We are requiring staff to do the same thing as well.  Students and staff should not come to school if they have the following symptoms:

    • Fever of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher

    • Chills

    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

    • Fatigue

    • Muscle or body aches

    • Headache

    • Sore throat

    • Congestion or runny nose

    • Nausea or vomiting

    • Diarrhea

There is a lot of strength, courage, caring, and hard work demonstrated in the lives of our Bulldog Family.  Thank you for your continued partnership.
