    Nobuntu is a “Five Part” A’cappella Vocal ensemble made up of young women from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
    The name Nobuntu is an African concept that values humbleness, love, purpose, unity and family from a woman’s perspective. Their repertoire is a fusion of traditional Zimbabwean-rooted music, Afro Jazz, Gospel and Crossover in pure voices with minimalistic percussion, traditional instruments such as Mbira and some dance movements. Nobuntu is a production identified by its concept and philosophy, a new generation of young women singers who celebrate and preserve their culture, beauty and heritage through art. The ensemble’s mission is the belief that music is the most important and original wheel of change, way of expression of a new generation of young women singers with uniqueness to transcend racial, tribal, religious, gender and economic boundaries.

    Adam del Monte is one of the leading flamenco and classical guitarist/composers of his generation. Del Monte is featured on the double GRAMMY® Award winning recording of Ainadamar by Osvaldo Golijov. He has performed the Concierto de Aranjuez twice at Disney Hall, at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion and in Jerusalem, as well as his own Flamenco Guitar Concerto with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra. Mak Grgic, touted as a “gifted young guitarist” by the New York Times, and “a guitarist to keep an eye on” by the
    Washington Post, Grammy®- nominated artist Mak Grgić [GER-gich] is a star on the worldwide stage. His roles as soloist, collaborator, and Grammy-nominated recording artist are fueled by curiosity, imagination, and boundless energy.

    The Fitzgeralds have evolved to include a wide variety of material in their performances, including Celtic fiddle pieces, high-energy step dancing, and a focus on original compositions and arrangements. Their extensive tour history includes performances with notable artists; Natalie MacMaster, Ireland’s Nathan Carter, Leahy, Tony McManus, Cherish the Ladies, The StepCrew, and Lunasa. It is the rare combination of exceptional musicianship, mind-blowing step dancing, audience interaction, evident love of performing, and genuine sibling connection that resonates with audiences of all ages and sets this group apart.

  • Black Oak Ensemble

    The Black Oak Ensemble took root in 2011 when they performed for a stand-ing-room-only audience on Chicago’s prestigious Music in the Loft Series. Since then, the ensemble has performed for the Stradivari Society and appeared at the Chicago Cultural Center, Art Institute of Chicago, Mayne Stage, WFMT Radio, Windy City Live, and the Latino Music Festival. The ensemble was featured on a Ravinia Festival tour from Barcelona to Monte Carlo, and in summer 2016 they toured France, with concerts in Paris, Toulouse, and other cities. Desirée Ruhstrat and David Cunliffe are both founding members of the Lincoln Trio, which was nominated for a 2017 GRAMMY Award for best performance by a small ensemble. Aurelien Pederzoli was a founding member of the Spektral Quartet and the Anaphora Ensemble.
