    SENIORS and parents:
    Apply for scholarships on fastweb.com and cappex.com. Also see the scholarship bulletin under Resources.

    FAFSA (Federal Application for Student Aid)
    The FAFSA application opens October 1, 2022. FAFSA Workshop will be October 19th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and October 25th from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Safford High School in Lab 301. For help with your application, contact your high school counselor or EAC Financial Aid department. 

    JUNIORS & SENIORS: 
    This is the time to contact your counselor for help with college/career/ or military questions! The earlier you plan for life after high school the better!

    SAT and ACT test: Check online at www.actstudent.org/register or www.collegeboard.com to sign up for one of these college entrance tests NOW if you haven't already taken one of them. Test date information can be found in the Guidance Office. 

    The Senior Scholarship Bulletin can be found on-line under "Resources" on the Counselor's page. This documents can also be found posted in several locations on campus. REMEMBER, there are deadlines for these scholarship opportunities so allow teachers/counselors/etc. enough time before those deadlines to write your letters of recommendation.

    EAC Academy Info:
    Start thinking about the summer and fall semester classes you'd like to take through the college. See your SHS counselor for questions. Also, visit www.eac.edu for EAC class schedules. Academy paperwork can be found under Resources.

    GIFT/ACADEMY Withdrawal date:
    DEADLINE FOR WITHDRAWAL from GIFT and Academy is January 20, 2023. If you withdraw after this date you will receive a "WF" on your SHS transcript. See your counselor for academy and GIFT withdrawal.

    NOTE:  Students who are planning to take classes through EAC for the first time will have to take the placement test before they can register for most academic classes, including English and Math. Go and see Mrs. Graham in 302.
