I love October! October is all about self-directing. This month, I will be teaching students what it means to be a self-directed student, how to set SMART goals, and how to reach out for support in achieving goals. We will discuss why we don't always make the right choice even when we know better, what's going on in our brain when we do something we know we shouldn't, and strategies to ensure we make the right choice. Please read this month's newsletter and use the conversation starters to have a conversation with your student. Also, check out the resources for goal setting.
