BULLDOG PRIDE WINNERS
AUGUST 2023
Throughout the month Bulldog Pride tickets are issued to students being found showing Bulldog Pride, which is to be kind, responsible and safe. At the end of the month, three tickets are drawn randomly from each grade level and these students come up and receive a prize.
These are the prize winners for August 2023! We are all winners when we remember...
WE ARE KIND,
WE ARE RESPONSIBLE,
WE ARE SAFE,
WE ARE THE BULLDOGS!

SPELLING BEE
In January we had our Lafe Nelson Spelling Bee. We had some great spellers and they all did so well. We are proud of each of them. Our Lafe Nelson 2023 Champion was Jaxson Walker and the alternate was Alexis Armenta. Good Job students!
Jaxson represented Lafe Nelson at the Graham County Spelling Bee in February. We are so proud of him and the good spelling and work that he accomplished.

Cafeteria Expectations
We felt the need to institute a new change in the cafeteria due to students with food allergies and also to promote good health habits. We are asking students to not exchange food with each other to keep our students as healthy as we can. We have done 3 announcements in the mornings and cafeteria aides are reminding students as well. Thank you for reminding your child as well.

Certified Birth Certificates
We are in the process of checking to see if each student has a copy of his or her certified birth certificate. Law requires parents to furnish this information to schools within 30 days of enrollment. If your child does not have a copy of a certified birth certificate in their file you will be receiving a letter. Arizona birth certificates can be obtained through the County Health Department here in Safford located at 826 W Main Street.
